Information Regarding Road Detours for
11th Ave. Bridge Reconstruction
Vallivue School District had its early beginnings as thirteen
rural school houses scattered throughout the countryside of Canyon
County. The various schools housed students from kindergarten
through eighth grade and each building was independently
administered by a local school board. These local boards
joined together as one district in 1961 and Vallivue Junior-Senior
High School opened in the fall of 1963.
Vallivue
School District now consists of six elementary schools, two middle
schools, one high school, and one alternative high school.
The district covers 143 square miles, bordering Middleton School
District to the north, and Nampa and Meridian School Districts to
the east.
Vallivue School District is the only large
school district in the Treasure Valley that has made Adequate Yearly
Progress under the No Child Left Behind Act during the last two
years. The growth in the number of students
enrolling in the Vallivue School District has been steadily
increasing. With area growth the need for additional schools
within the district is ever increasing. As a result Vallivue
has embarked on a number of construction projects to keep pace with the
increasing population. The Vallivue School District facilities
are among the finest in the state, and the district takes pride in
providing students with safe, clean, modern schools. The links to the left provide specific
information about each school. |
